In 2018, a regular festival takes place in a Mexican theme.
In Brussels, the Grand Place has once again been turned into a flower carpet as part of a famous festival. The carpet of flowers was dedicated to Mexican culture – it depicted scenes and symbols from Guanajuato, a region in Mexico rich in culture and traditions associated with flowers. The size of the unusual carpet is 75 by 24 meters. The festival has been held every two years since 1971.
